State college board seeks input on adult education plan

The plan is being developed under Senate Joint Resolution 40, which created a task force on the future of adult education and literacy charged with developing a five-year strategic plan. "The Strategic Plan must demonstrate an understanding and respect for adult education programs and students and provide a road map that leads to better educational and employment opportunities," said Karen Hunter Anderson, ICCB executive director and task force chairwoman.

Stagg High School athletic director suspended for 'professional conduct' violation

The athletic director at Stagg High School in Palos Hills has been suspended without pay for two days following an investigation into allegations he sexually harassed and retaliated against the school's head cheerleading coach, Consolidated High School District 230 Superintendent James Gay said in a statement Friday. Gay said the district's investigation determined that Terry Treasure, who has been employed by District 230 for 25 years in various roles, was not guilty of sexual harassment or retaliation but violated the board policy on professional conduct.
